Daybook, 1872-1890, 1872 (bulk).

Lists details of job orders, including for whom work was performed and usually the address of the customer, whether a person or business; a list of materials used; and what was done. There are a few notes saying that an account was paid. Among the work performed was the installation or repair of roofs, gutters, spouts, pipes, skylights, bathtubs, and bulkheads. Johnson also repaired tinware and copper kettles. At the back of the volume are records kept by Charles A.J. Reed, listing charges for beds, miscellaneous repairs, a fire escape and ladders, window guards and other various and sundry items for St. Christopher's Hospital for Children, the Mercer House at Ambler, the Blind Women's Home, and the Children's Seashore House.
